University Stalking!

When Daddy Ashworth came back to England we thought we'd better check out the Uni's I'd applied to, so we went down to Cornwall to see what Falmouth Uni was like and seeing all the beautiful coastline i thought it would be a good idea to try out some more HDR.

Down to Devon

Well while I visited my grannie in Devon i was able to take a couple of pictures of the carnival that happens once a year in the small seaside town where she lives. I love watching all the kiddies get dressed up, its so cute!

Teignmouth is also the birthplace of MUSE, and since they've found fame and fortune Teignmouth holds a small festival to celebrate the end of the carnival and to see if any other bands will make it big in the future. This years headliners were 'RUDE TIGER' and they played brilliantly! 

Bali

So once again Daddy Ashworth decided to take us on a whirlwind tour.. this time of Bali. It was stunning! I have never visited so many picturesque landscapes in such a short amount of time. Had a go at some crazy fishing and a bit of surfing! Since my trip to Kerela (India) for Eid last year I took every opportunity i was given to take some pictures of the locals. Their lifestyle is so completely different to those in Thailand or Dubai... it could really be something I'd focus on in the future.

My first attempt at HDR, not bad for a beginner. You take the same image 5 times, each at a different exposure stop, then overlap them using photoshop and the image is brought to life showing a range of colours that wouldn't be shown in a normal image. 

Well its been a while...

So its been ages since i've been on here! (sorry about that... you know how i loose interest!) and instead of listing all the amazing things that have happened in the last 9 months ill do a quick list:

-Visited Bali in the summer, it was BEAUTIFUL!!! (pictures will be up shortly)
-Visited the family down in Devon, was also stunning but alot colder!
-Received my A-Level results (A*, A,B,C) whoop whoop!
-Moved into uni, met some wonderful people... and FRESHERS WEEK!!
-Started my course at Bath College of Art and Design, and i bloody love it. (projects will go up soon!)
-Went back to Dubai for Christmas & new year (pics soon!)

So here we go... This year i promise i'll try and keep my blog updated alot more frequently!

Hot Air Balloon Trip

 

Dubai Balloon Expiditions very kindly gave me a free hot air balloon ride to experience the old agrucuktural side of Dubai before it became to developed. An early start of 4 am (bleugh) but so worth it to watch the sunrise over the mountains, then when we were driving home we stopped in a small village to see the locals & a camel herder.

So I found this website called 'Polyvor' and it basically allows you to design outfits and pages! Its got all the latest trends & even where you can buy the items and for how much (handy!) My first attempt is below, and im still getting used to it but im pretty happy with the final look, obviously with a major English theme, ill be wearing something similar when i get home in May!

I've been shadowing Mike to gain experience into the professional world of photography and as a result took part in some portfolio shots for professional model Karin. Although waking up at 4am was a pain, it was well worth the drive to the boarders of Oman to do the sunrise shoot.
